Continuing to build on its relationship with the Three Stripes, British fashion label Wales Bonner has released an early preview of some of the footwear pieces from its FW23 collaboration with adidas, and it’s once again the Samba that’s in full focus, with a chromed out pair sitting alongside two SL72 options.

If you have even a passing interest in sneaker culture you’ll be well aware of the resurgence of the adidas Samba. The timeless silhouette is once again in the spotlight thanks to its popularity with some very influential figures, something that has come around in part because of its inclusion in collaborations with notable fashion brands like Wales Bonner and Kith, as well as the likes of Jason Dill, Jonah Hill, Pharrell and Jerry Lorenzo. Well now we go full circle, with Wales Bonner once again including the Samba in its latest footwear collab with adidas, set to drop in FW23.

Wales Bonner’s links with football continue to strengthen, with this latest footwear drop coming on the back of the fashion label’s work on the recently released Jamaica kit from adidas. And those Jamaican roots are – in part – on display again here, with a “green/orange”  SL72 paired with a “vermillion/chocolate” colourway, both of which feel like they would sit comfortably in the Jamaica collection, the latter in particular, feeling like it’s vibing with the away kit.

The final preview comes from the Samba, which see a chrome base joined by a lace execution on the Three Stripes, with a dark brown gum rubber sole unit completing its design.

The adidas x Wales Bonner FW23 Footwear collection will release later this year.
