Over the last couple of weeks, New Balance have unveiled the new 23/24 home, away and third shirts for current Taça de Portugal champions, FC Porto, and the launch of those three shirts is supported by a bespoke pair of 530 sneakers.
Ready for next season, New Balance have provided FC Porto with what will surely be one of the strongest kit sets of the 23/24 season. But the brand hasn’t just stopped there either, following them up with the drop of a bespoke pair of 530 sneakers, which feature subtle nods to the kit designs, supporting their launch and offering up a streetwear option to carry fans support away from the Estádio do Dragão.
Of course, this is far from being the first time that New Balance have created a special shoe for one of their teams, and it’s not even the first time that the American brand has done so for Porto, but it always comes as a nice added extra to the kit selection; a little bonus that only they do.
So, here we get the 530 dressed out in influence from the new kit crop. That means a predominantly white base with royal blue accents, together combining for the traditional home shirt look, the outsole features the off-white marzipan colouring of the away shirt, while some gold detailing on the upper nods to the third shirt.
The club crest and the acknowledgment of the club’s 130th anniversary then comes on the insole.
