Werder Bremen are celebrating their 125th anniversary this year, and as part of those celebrations the Bundesliga side has partnered with hummel and Glückstreter to launch an exclusive sneaker.
Back in February, Werder Bremen unveiled and then debuted a special anniversary kit from Hummel, kicking off their 125th anniversary celebrations in style. Now, the Bundesliga side take things off pitch through a special collaboration with hummel and Glückstreter – a local, authentic and credible sneaker store from Bremen – to launch an exclusive sneaker that encapsulates the club’s identity and offers the perfect off-pitch companion to the special edition shirt.
Glückstreter have been engrained in the popular Bremen district “Viertel” with their own sneaker store for more than a decade, and so are perfectly placed as the go-to collaborators for this project. Utilising their expertise, Werder and Hummel went about creating a unique product for fans that also highlights the direct connection between the city of Bremen and the club itself.
High-quality suede and smooth leather, combined with classic hummel design elements and a brown sole, help create the retro-yet-contemporary – all in green and white. From the golden lettering with club references and the historical founding year and crest, all the way to the insole with legendary moments of green-white history, the sneaker is a fitting tribute to 125 years of passion for the club.
The limited sneaker is available in the online shops of Werder and Glückstreter, in the WERDER Fan World at the wohninvest WESERSTADION as well as in the Glückstreter store in the “Viertel” in Bremen.
