The days may be numbered for Liverpool and Nike’s current partnership, but that hasn’t stopped the collections from coming, with the Premier League leaders debuting an upcoming LFC x Air Max line ahead of the Merseyside Derby last night.
It’s no secret that Liverpool have signed with adidas, with that partnership set to rekindle on 1 August, when the club’s current deal with Nike expires. But it looks as though the Swoosh are planning on going out with a bang, with the reveal of a new Air Max-centric collection, debuted by the Liverpool squad on their arrival and warm-up ahead of the Merseyside Derby last night. The squad rolled up to Anfield in collegiate style varsity jacket that featured both Air Max branding alongside the LFC crest on the sleeve.
And it didn’t stop there. Alongside the jacket was a cream-coloured tee, while the players then switched it up to a black based prematch tee with red and cream accents, emblazoned with the Air Max logo across the chest.
Despite not playing, on arrival Jarell Quansah was also seen wearing an Air Max 95 from the collection. The design features reverse “Smoke Grey” gradient sidewalls, complemented by black accents on the tongue and midsole. Eyelets and the tongue logo border stand out in “Gym Red,” matching the large bubble Air units reminiscent of this year’s Air Max 95 “Neon” retro. Liverpool FC branding remains subtle, with a Liver Bird logo discreetly placed on the inner tongue tag.
The appearance of this collection bolsters the cultural cross-over of the Air Max with football, lending further weight to the rumours of an Air Max x Mercurial.

The Liverpool AM95 collection has a drop date of 9 April and it will be available at prodirectsport.com/soccer
