Football News - Nike Mercurial Superfly Hits Euro Leagues 16/03/09
We're sure you enjoyed the weekend's football as much as we did at the SoccerBible. Liverpool's triumph at Old Trafford, Barcelona easing past Almeria and Inter Milan charging towards another title were just some of the highlights.
However, this weekend saw the Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly football boots hit the major Euro leagues including the Premier League, Serie A and La Liga as loads of players upgraded to the new boots. We've picked our favourites from a frantic weekend's football in a Superfly Spotting special!
Arsenal new boy Andrey Arshavin netted his first Gunners goal - although he switched to Vapor IV for the second half!

Other Premier League Superfly's could be seen at Villa Park, where Tottenham's Aaron Lennon and Aston Villa's Gabriel Agbonlahor both sported the new boots. Nicklas Bendtner didn't quite do the Superfly's as much justice as his Russian teammate however at the Emirates.
Cristiano Ronaldo had a subdued performance but still rocked the Superfly's against Liverpool

Mercurial fan Stephen Ireland also played at Stamford Bridge with the Superfly's, keeping up his reputation of wearing the latest speed boots from Nike. Ryan Babel, a second half substitute at Old Trafford, showed a quick pair of heels in the Superfly boots too.
