Football Talk - Adriano's Inter's days look numbered - 16/04/09
Inter president Massimo Moratti has admitted the club are considering cancelling Adriano's contract. The Brazilian claimed earlier this month he was taking a break from football after he went missing following a World Cup 2010 qualifier against Peru.
The player's agent Gilmar Rinaldi claimed earlier this week Adriano would return to football, but Moratti has cast doubt on whether he will be welcome at Inter.
"Perhaps the rescission of his contract could be a solution," said Moratti. "I will wait until the right people have had meetings and once the lawyers and others have been consulted we will see what happens. If he leaves, we can't deny him his freedom. We as a club have done everything we can for him, but he is doing the job he is paid to do."
