The new England home shirt was completely different to what everyone had been expecting, perhaps the reason it was the winner! Umbro worked in top secret with the FA, and surprised everyone with a real vintage design. Featuring a new England crest reminiscent of a 1950's England shirt, the new clean and crisp all white shirt is tailored to work in harmony with popular modern base layers. Nostalgia, heritage, timeless style and class. The new England shirt clearly pulled at your heart strings. |

Football Shirt of the Season Runner-Up: Manchester United 3rd (Nike)

Manchester United's new third kit was inspired by the success of the 1968 European Cup winning team including George Best and Bobby Charlton. Celebrating 40 years since United became the first English club to be crowned champions of Europe, the shirt has the date '29th May 1968' embroided above the badge and is the same bue colur worn that famous night. "This club has a great history. We respect the legends and it's great for us to put a shirt on that remembers a great team. I think it's beautiful." Was the opinion of Cristiano Ronaldo, and clearly the voters as this shirt finished a close second. |

Football Shirt of the Season 3rd Place: FC Barcelona Home (Nike)

Celebrating a clubs history seems to be the theme running through a lot of the new shirt designs, and this is the case with the new FC Barcelona home shirt. The design is halved instead of the traditional Barca stripes because the new home shirt acknowledges 10 years since the 1999 commemoration of FC Barcelona's centenary. A nice additional feature of Barcelona's football shirts is the lack of club sponsor, instead Barca choose to show their endorsement and support of the charity UNICEF Any Barcelona shirt is going to be iconic due to the legends such as Cruyff, Romario and Rivaldo who have worn the famous colours, so it was a respectable third position for Barca. |

Football Shirt of the Season 4th Place: Liverpool Away (adidas)

| Liverpool fans got to see modern day idols Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Fernando Torres wearing a retro-style football shirt previously worn by the likes of Ian Rush, Kenny Dalglish and John Barnes. The new away kit by adidas took its inspiration from the 1988/89 league winning kit, and certainly caused a lot of debate. This new away kit took a lot of us back to our school days, but perhaps people didn't really appreciate the retro design as it finshed 4th place. |

Football Shirt of the Season 5th Place: Bayern Munich Home (adidas)

| The unique white and red stripes are an iconic design for the Bayern Munich home shirt. Germany's most successful club, Bayern Munich have won 21 league titles, and this current shirt is being worn by two modern day legends Franck Ribery and Luca Toni. German manufactured, the new adidas Bayern Munich home shirt celebrates the best of Germany, unfortunately this only produced enough votes to finish 5th. |
