FA Cup Final Boots - Special Speciali Editions fit for Wembley! 30/05/09
With the fall out from of the Champions League now settling, attention turns to Wembley today as two Blues take over the famous stadium for this years FA Cup Final. Ahead of the historic game, the SoccerBible managed to get an exclusive look at the new boots Chelsea captain John Terry is set to wear, thanks to our good friends at Umbro and Pro Direct Soccer!
Terry has been playing in the new Umbro Speciali boots, as reported by SoccerBible's boot spotters a few weeks ago. However for such a special occasion, many top pro's want special boots to wear and treasure once the final whistle has gone. These customised Umbro Speciali's are made to Terry's exact foot requirements and also feature the bespoke personalisation requested by the England and Blues Captain. The boots feature the number 26 on the tongue, as well as the names of both of Terry's daughters (one on each foot*), but making these out different from an ordinary pair of pro boots is the "FA Cup Final 30.05.09" inscription.
Not wanting to miss out on the occassion, we were also lucky enough to get our hands on one of the pairs of boots John Terry's teammate Deco has requested for the Cup Final! The Portugese midfielder has also changed to the Speciali series, having previously worn other Umbro editions like the SX Valor and Ultra SX. Once again customised to meet the pro players requirements, these boots have "Deco" and squad number "20" embroidered to the tongue with the same FA Cup Final inscription to the outside of the heel area.
So no matter what the result this afternoon in the Wembley sunshine, there will be at least two players who can mark the occasion with Special Speciali football boots! Umbro are planning a big launch for the new Speciali and you can see and read more about the boots with our SoccerBible review here.
