| Our congratulations go to Torquay United on their deserved promotion back into the English League, after an excellent victory at Wembley! Goals from team captain Chris Hargreaves and Tim Sills gave The Gulls a 2-0 victory over Cambridge United in the Blue Square Premier play-off final at Wembley. Hargreaves struck after 35 minutes with a fine effort, playing in Nike Tiempo football boots Hargreaves rifled home a fierce shot. The victory was confirmed when Cambridge were reduced to 10 men after 70 minutes, which Torquay capitalised on four minutes later when Sills powerfully headed home. |

After the game we caught up with Torquay manager Paul Buckle as he spoke to Setanta Sports, who was clearly pleased delighted with the victory:
It s not sunk in yet! I m just delighted for the players with the effort they ve put in this season. The club was on its knees, but we re now back in the Football League. He added: We deserved to be promoted. If you ve watched us over the last two seasons, no one could argue that we deserve to be back in the Football League. I can t tell you how proud I am.
