Football News - Torres stars in new Blaze Laser - 15/06/09

Fernando Torres scored a fantastic hat-trick in Spain's opening game of the Confederations Cup, wearing the brand new Orange Blaze Nike T90 Laser II football boots!

To be honest, Spain's opponents New Zealand were never going to put up much resistance, but even they may have been surprised at how quick and lethal Fernando Torres started. Within the space of 17 minutes Torres had grabbed a hat-trick and the Orange Blaze Nike Laser football boots had arrived!

Fernando's first goal was a perfect demonstration of what the Nike T90 Laser football boots can do, as he hit his shot with accuracy and swerve into the top corner beyond the outstretched keeper. Followed up with a deftly touch to steer the ball into the back of the net from a David Villa cross, and his third was a headed goal as he arrived into the box faster and more powerful than the New Zealand defenders.

Spain won the game 5-0, thanks to a fourth goal from Cesc Fabregas and striker David Villa scoring the fifth, who was also wearing a new pair of football boots. David Villa was playing in the new adidas F50i football boots, and continued his impressive scoring record, by netting in his 17th consecutive Spanish international.

For Fernando Torres, the new Orange Blaze Nike Laser football boots were a change from the leather football boots he has been wearing. Although Torres will have benefited from the new perforated upper, designed to keep his feet cool and regulate moisture, great for the hot South African conditions, plus they also looked stunning!
