There was a host of new football boots on show, including Cristiano Ronaldo reverting back to his max orangeNike Vapor Superfly football boots. And the new boy didn't hesitate to get stuck in, as he challenged fellow speed boot wearer Arjen Robben, who was wearing the new adidas F50i football boots.

But how does a team like Real Madrid prepare for the new season? Well, the players begin their first workout of the day at 8:00 once breakfast is over, followed by an hour-long session conducted by new Head Coach Pellegrini, which is dedicated solely to fitness work.

The squad then has time to relax before returning to the pitch at 11:30, where they carry out more fitness work and concentrate on the players' physique. The Real squad then go for a brief jog, and are put through an obstacle course designed to increase speed and strength. Finally the ball appears, but only towards the latter end of the session
as tactical and technical aspects take a back seat.
