Football Boots - Brown adiPure boots spotted in Premier League! - 20/10/09
Well its taken a little while, but finally a professional player has worn the brown adiPure II football boots in the Premier League. They are definitely a unique and distinctive looking boot, perhaps the reason we'd yet to see them in the Premier League, but if anyone was going to wear them it had to be Jimmy Bullard!
Jimmy Bullard is unlike conventional players, his route into the Premier League wasn't via a fast car and a youth academy he learnt his trade in the lower leagues. Bullard learnt football the old school way with non-league Gravesend Northfleet, which is perhaps the reason why he prefers old school boots! |
In the modern football boots era of outrageous colourways and radical designs, it's nice to see a player who prefers a more traditional looking boot without compromising performance attributes. And the adidas adiPure II football boots offer excellent touch and feel from a kangaroo leather upper, so it's no surprise they are also worn by Kaka, Frank Lampard, Xabi Alonso and Karim Benzema.
The brown adidas adiPure II football boots have the colourway associated with some of the first football boots ever created. And we know Bullard has a particular fondness for retro gear after he wore the special edition adidas World Cup 66 boots with their unique blue sole-plate last season. Bullard was playing in the brown adidas adiPure II football boots as he made his long-awaited comeback from injury for Hull City, as they took on his old side Fulham who were sporting their 130th anniversary shirts.
