MAY 2009


On the SoccerBible...

We found out how fast Cristiano Ronaldo was compared to Usain Bolt, and grabbed an exclusive interview with Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs. But May was a month of finals, and we saw Chelsea lift the FA Cup, and Lionel Messi debut the F50i football boots to the world, scoring in the Champions League final as Barcelona defeated Manchester United.

In Football Boot Releases...

Innovation and speed were top of the agenda, as adidas unveiled the new F50i football boots made with a unique SprintSkin material. And a pair of gold Puma v1.08 football boots struck the first blow in the Champions League final.

Around the World in Football...

Ahead of the Champions League final Lionel Messi admitted he would pay to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play, Jose Mourinho was still unhappy despite Inter Milan winning the Scudetto and AC Milan's Carlo Ancelotti denied being given an ultimatum by Chelsea insisting be staying with the Rossoneri!


JUNE 2009

On the SoccerBible...

We reported on the biggest news in football, that Manchester United had accepted an £80million bid from Real Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo. Interviewed more footballers including Ashley Young, Jermain Defoe, Joe Hart and Roman Pavlyuchenko, and attended the media day for the launch of the new adidas F50i football boots. We also found out the unity that makes Barcelona the best team in the world!

In Football Boot Releases...

The Nike Superfly football boots were re-launched after some minor modifications, and Nike also launched the new Tiempo Legend III football boots. Meanwhile, we were drooling over the blaze orange T90 Laser colourway, and the macaw green adidas F50i football boots.

Around the World in Football...

The transfer window reopened and Real Madrid signalled their intent to sign both Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka! The Spanish national side continued to set records after going 32 consecutive games without defeat, and after insisting he would be staying, Carlo Ancelotti left Milan and joined Chelsea.

JULY 2009

On the SoccerBible...
We received a spectacular invite from Real Madrid to join the Galacticos on a pre-season training camp in Ireland, obviously more than happy to attend we grabbed exclusive interviews with Raul, Miguel Torres and Arjen Robben. SoccerBible also unveiled the full details of the new Premier League Nike Ascente ball.

In Football Boot Releases...
The black and volt Vapor Superflys seemed to be taking over pitches around the world being worn by such players as Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and adidas caused some debate with their bright red adiPure II football boots. But we also took a look at some classy leather football boots including the Joma Total Fit 91 and the Pantofola d'Oro Ascoli Vitelli football boots.

Around the World in Football...
The footballing world mourned the death of a legend after Sir Bobby Robson passed away. Manchester United stunned us by snapping up Michael Owen on a free transfer, but Real Madrid were in more stunning form by breaking the transfer records signing the likes of Kaka, Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.


AUGUST 2009

On the SoccerBible...
Nike showed us some cool images of the Black Pack ahead of the kick-off for the new season. We showed you the skills Jermain Defoe and Ashley Young had shown us when we visited the pair in London for the new adidas F50i and got an exclusive interview with Defoe. We also got our hands on John Terry's and Michael Owen's personalised football boots ahead of the Community Shield.

In Football Boot Releases...
The adiPure II football boots were once again in the headlines thanks to a rather individual brown colourway. And turning back the hands of time, Ronaldinho launched his brand new all-gold Nike 10R Dois football boots.

Around the World in Football...
Eduardo caused a storm in the Champions League by diving to win a penalty against Celtic, Sol Campbell shocked us by joining Sven Goran Eriksson at League Two side Notts County, and Fernando Torres committed his long-term future to Liverpool by signing a new contract.
