Nike Total 90 Elite Tracer X Football

Nike Total 90 Elite Tracer X Football

Introducing the Nike T90 Tracer X football, a part of the Nike Elite series which is sweeping across world football at the moment. Footballing superstars including Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Franck Ribery have embraced Nike's Elite range of football gear, and the new Nike Tracer X Ball is the latest addition to the family.

The Nike Total 90 Tracer Football has been innovatively designed to fly faster and farther with added visibility. The ball has a unique construction for geometric accuracy, texturised surface for airflow and a performance graphic to engage player vision. We first saw the Tracer Ball as the Nike Elite football boots were unveiled in depth by design director Andy Caine, with the help of Argentinian forward Sergio Aguero.

The Nike T90 Tracer Ball is available to order now for around £85 GBP, and as some may think this is steep Nike have also released the take-down version - the Nike T90 Luma football - for around £20 GBP. However, the Nike Tracer football features all updates from Nike's most technologically advanced ball to date. Arriving in a fantastic Nike Elite Series presentation case, we think the Elite Tracer Football is especially exciting as it gives an insight into what to expect from the new Premier League, Primera Division and Serie A footballs.

The Elite Tracer Football accompanies Nike's Elite football boots, launched in time for this summers' showpiece occasion in South Africa. The eagerly anticipated "Elite Pack" collection features a boot from each of Nike's 4 silos - Mercurial (speed), T90 (accuracy), Tiempo (touch) and CTR360 (control) - tweaked and enhanced to make the ulimate edition of these football boots.   The main visual change sees the addition of a carbon-fiber sole plate to all the new football boots - bringing them to an elite level alongside the previously released Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly II.

The design of the Nike Tracer Ball is very different to previous Nike footballs, with a depth-enhanced performance graphic to engage vision quickly, which basically means the ball catches your eye quicker to improve player reactions. The graphic is printed on a micro-textured surface which improves ball control and flight, utilising the same science applied to golf balls to equalise the airflow over the surface.

The geometric precision of the Nike Total 90 Tracer Football distributes pressure evenly, for an accurate and powerful strike no matter where the ball is hit. The construction of the Nike Tracer Ball, incorporates compressed polyethylene layers which store energy from impact and release it at launch. Along with cross-linked Nitrogen-Expanded Foam for exceptional shape retention and durability!

Having been the official ball supplier to the Premier League for the last ten years, Nike have certainly taken ball performance and technology to a new level, and the Tracer Ball looks set to continue in a similar vein. We'd love to hear what SoccerBible fans think of the new Nike Total 90 Tracer Elite Football, and particular anyone who has been fortunate enough to play with the Nike Tracer ball.
