Robbie Keane will celebrate winning his 100th international cap, when Republic of Ireland take on Argentina. To commemorate the occasion, Nike have created a bespoke pair of T90 Laser III football boots featuring unique personalisation, and a colourway that's a tribute to the Irish colours.

Skipper Keane will become only the fourth Republic player to win 100 caps when he lines up Wednesday evening against Argentina at the new Aviva Stadium. Keane will lead out the Republic side with his 15-month-old son Robbie Jnr, who features on Robbie's football boots. Keane has his bespoke pair of T90 Laser's embroided with his squad number, 100th Cap, Ireland flag and the name and date of birth of his son.

The colourway of Robbie Keane's Nike T90 Laser III football boots is a re-working of the original Electric Green colourway, incorporating the orange and white from the Ireland national flag. We think Keane's football boots look great, particularly with the white beneath the laces and ShotShield, and we couldn't help but notice Robbie has both a mixed stud sole-plate and a custom firm ground plate.

Ahead of the momentous occasion, Robbie shared his thoughts with the SoccerBible:

How does it feel to win your 100th cap?
Robbie Keane: It's an amazing feeling and a real privilege. When I started out I never dreamed I'd reach 100 caps alongside players like Steve Staunton, Shay Given and other Irish legends so it feels really special to join that group and will be a special night for me and my family.

What is so special about playing for Ireland?
RK: Whether we play home or away there's always a fantastic atmosphere. The fans make a real noise and it makes for great conditions to play under.

Did you ever dream you would reach this milestone in your career?
RK: When you are a kid it's a dream just to play for your country so to reach 100 caps is a real dream come true.

Do you like your Nike ID boots, and why?
RK: They look great. Nike has done a nice job designing them, using the Irish colours, plus embroidering the 100th cap, my son's name, and the Irish flag on the sides via Nike I.D.. It will be an honour to wear them.

This is something to tell your little boy all about when he is older, what will you tell him?
RK: He will actually be there, he wouldn't miss it for the world! He is going to be a mascot on the night so hopefully there'll be some great photos and footage for him to look at in the years to come.

Are you looking forward to the game?
RK: I'm massively looking forward to the game especially against one of the top teams in the world like Argentina. I m also looking forward to playing at the new stadium which looks fantastic. Coincidentally, I actually made my home debut at the old Lansdowne Road against Argentina back in 1998.

Do you have a message for Ireland fans, thanking them for their support over the years?
RK: Absolutely, the Ireland fans are fantastic. They have always given us great support and create such an amazing atmosphere which helps gives us as players a real boost.
