Castrol Stats - Eto'o More Prolific Under Benitez
The stat bods at Castrol have been working overtime again ahead of the weeks Champions League action, discovering that Puma v1.10 wearer Samuel Eto o is more prolific and lethal under new boss Benitez, than he was under Mourinho!
Playing at the heart of Inter's attack, Eto'o has scored eight goals in the opening eight games of this season. iAfter playing in a wider and deeper position last season with Jose Mourinho, the Cameroonian frontman is back to his natural role under new manager, Rafa Benitez, and the results have seen him scoring an average of one goal every 87 minutes in all competitions this term, compared to one every 243 minutes in 2009-10:
The graphics below show how Eto s position in the pitch has changed between last season s Champions League final and his appearance in their recent game against Palermo. Against Bayern, Eto o did not touch a single ball in the opposition s box, playing mostly wide on the right flank. Against Palermo, Eto o played as central striker and scored two goals from inside the box:
This season Eto'o has been playing in the new Puma v1.10 SL Lightning football boots, the lightest football boots on the market at just 150grams. The v1.10 SL Lightning boots have been engineered to revolutionise movement and increase player speed, and were designed in conjunction with the World's fastest man - Usain Bolt!
Can Eto'o maintain this high level of performance, and will he and his new look Inter side be successful and see off Werder Bremen?
