Messi Gold Personalised adidas adizero - European Top Goalscorer
Check out these customised Lionel Messi Gold adidas F50 adizero football boots, specially commissioned to acknowledge Messi as Europe's top goalscorer for the 09/10 season.
The Argentine superstar scored 34 goals in La Liga for Barcelona last season to help them to the Spanish title. Messi has now won all three major individual awards of the Golden Boot, Fifa World Player of the Year and the Ballon d'or for the European footballer of the year. Tied for second place were Chelsea striker Didier Drogba and Udinese forward Antonio di Natale, who both scored 29 goals apiece.
The commemorative boots were designed to coincide with Lionel Messi being presented with the Golden Boot award for being the top domestic league goalscorer in Europe. Messi is currently wearing adidas F50 adizero boots in gold, and these versions were fully personalized with 34 balls, one for each goal scored (17 on each boot). We're unsure if Messi has any plans to wear his bespoke football boots, as the wonder player may prefer to add them to his private collection.
