Nike T90 Tracer Hi-Vis Football - Winter Edition

We've had the Nike Total 90 Tracer Football, the official Premier League ball for the 2010/11 season, as well as the limited edition Tracer 10K football. Now let the SoccerBible present the official winter football for the Premier League, Serie A and La Liga this season - the Nike T90 Tracer Hi-Vis football...

As regular SoccerBible fans will know, Nike are celebrating being the official ball supplier to the Premier League for ten years now, and in that time Nike have wowed us with some impressive ball technology. When we revealed the original T90 Tracer ball earlier in the year, there were a lot of positive reactions from fans, players and pro's who were keen to start playing with the ball.

Now, as the winter in Europe draws near, the days get shorter and the nights get darker, the Nike T90 Tracer Hi-Vis football will be the ball of choice for three of the World's top club leagues.

The geometric precision of this Hi-Visibility Nike Total 90 Tracer Football distributes pressure evenly, for an accurate and powerful strike no matter where the ball is hit. The construction of the Nike Tracer Ball incorporates compressed polyethylene layers which store energy from impact and release it at launch. Along with cross-linked Nitrogen-Expanded Foam Nike claim this ball will offer exceptional shape retention and durability!

The main technology and principles of the Tracer football remain, so things like a depth-enhanced performance graphic are designed to engage vision quickly, which basically means the ball catches your eye quicker to improve player reactions. The construction of the ball is also the same, so the graphic is printed on a micro-textured surface which improves ball control and flight, utilising the same science applied to golf balls to equalise the airflow over the surface.

But the Nike T90 Tracer Hi Vis Football will not just be used in the English Premier League, as the Spanish Primera Division and Italian Serie A will also get to enjoy the winter edition of the Tracer - albeit with not much of a graphical change for these leagues.

The ultra-bright hi-vis colour scheme remains but features the official logo of each division.

The new football is officially released on 30th October 2010 and should cost around £85 GBP / $150 USD, available in plenty of time for those dark winter months and evening matches. Of course also be the customary take down versions available too for players not on a Premier League footballer's salary!
