We've highlighted the current top 5 goalscorers, and it's great to see a wide variety of football boots on show with the major brands Nike, adidas and Puma all represented. For some, just a few games remain in this years MLS season, but which player can step up and prove himself to be the best striker in the MLS...
Edson Buddle, Los Angeles - 16 goals
Nike CTR360 Maestri
At the beginning of the season the Galaxy forward was simply unstoppable, in his first nine games Buddle scored nine goals, bagging four braces in that span! Buddle has remained faithful to the Nike CTR360 football boots, and his form won him a spot in the US World Cup team, although unfortunately since his return his goalscoring form has slowed down a bit.
Dwayne De Rosario, Toronto - 13 goals
Puma v1.10 SL
Toronto s captain has led his team well in both goals scored and assists. Despite falling off the pace in the middle of the season, DeRo has re-emerged as hot as anyone scoring four goals in his last three MLS games. The Canadian international took the boots world by storm in July, as he debuted and scored in the Puma v1.10 SL football boots.
Sebastien Le Toux, Philadelphia - 13 goals
Nike Vapor Superfly II
Le Toux has been a big offensive spark for Philadelphia, netting a very credible 13 goals as well as creating a host of chances for his team-mates. Surprisingly, Le Toux is the only Vapor Superfly wearer in the top five list, so perhaps the Vapor fans will be throwing their support behind the Frenchman.
Juan Pablo Angel, New York - 13 goals
adidas F50 adizero
The Red Bulls target man is, by far, his team s leading scorer. Although it's been a bit of an inconsistent season for the former Premier League player, as his goals have been sporadic and largely come from three braces. Angel's footwear has also undergone a change, as he has worn a variety of customised adizero colourways.
Chris Wondolowski, San Jose - 12 goals
Nike CTR360 Maestri
Wondolowski is probably the outsider for the race to win the Golden Boot, and will probably settle for what has been a surprisingly impressive season. A work-horse in the San Jose side, Wondolowski has played in a variety of positions for the team, and recently made the switch from adidas Predator into Nike CTR360's.
So, which player do YOU think will finish the MLS season as the leading goalscorer and win the much coveted Golden Boot...
