Weekend Football Boots Spotting - 22/11/10

Dani Alves (Barcelona) adidas F50 adizero

We received an inbox message asking for us to show a close-up of the tongue on Dani Alves' boots after much internet speculation, and to us it looks like Alves is just sporting the standard adizero tongue on his chameleon football boots.

Fabio Aurelio (Liverpool) adidas F50 adizero

Aurelio made a long-awaited return to the Liverpool first team and returned wearing the adidas F50 adizero football boots. Aurelio had previously been an adiPure wearer which falls into the touch category, although we did notice he opted for the leather versions.

Conor Casey (Colorado Rapids) adidas adiPure III

Ahead of the MLS Cup final, we highlighted that the performance of Conor Casey could prove key to the outcome of the game, and this was indeed the case as the adiPure wearer scored the equalising goal for his team.

Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid) adidas Predator X

You may have noticed that at the SoccerBible we're fans of the new Electricity Predator football boots, and it appears we are not alone as a host of players are making the switch including Real Madrid's Angel Di Maria.

Salomon Kalou (Chelsea) adidas F50 adizero

It seems Kalou has got quite a cool system on the go, as he wears the blue adizero football boots with the Chelsea home kit, and the new Intense Green colourway to match the Chelsea change strip, and we must say they are a great match.

Kosuke Kimura (Colorado Rapids) Puma v1.10 SL

The Puma v1.10 SL football boots haven't quite had the same impact on the game as the adizero, however they still remain the lightest boot on the market and are also the boot choice of MLS Cup winner Kosuke Kimura.

Cedric Makiadi (Freiburg) Pele Sports 1970

We're not sure if Pele Sports actually have any endorsed wearers, but there are a few players out there who are choosing to wear one of the newest brands on the market. Available in classic white or black colourways, Freiburg midfielder Makiadi is opting for the white boots an has interestingly removed the lace-cover.

Fabrizio Miccoli (Palermo) Nike Mercurial Vapor IV

Miccoli is a big fan of the Vapor and Superfly range as recently we have seen him in a variety of boots including the cherry Superfly II's and the white/pink Superfly I's, but this weekend the Palermo forward was wearing the classic orange Vapor IV's.

Thanos Petsos (Kaiserslautern) adidas Predator Absolute

An interesting boot spot here as Thanos Petsos was not only sporting a pair of Predator Absolutes, but his boots were blacked-out. The Absolute was originally released in 2006, and was popular with the likes of Zidane, Kaka, Vieira and Beckham.

Sebastian Proedl (Werder Bremen) Puma PowerCat 1.10

It's one of the boot silo's that hasn't really stole any headlines, yet it can't be denied the Puma PowerCat 1.10 football boots in their latest white/orange colourway looks great with the Werder Bremen away strip, as sported here by Sebastian Proedl.
