Weekend Football Boots Spotting - 13/12/10
Over the past 24 hours our inbox has been flooded with a host of new boot spots for the adiPure IV and CTR Maestri II, but there's also been a lot of hype and speculation surrounding the boots worn by AC Milan star Robinho. Here's a selection of the best boot spots from this weeks Euro action...
Robinho (AC Milan) adidas adiZero |
Without doubt the surprise spot of the week! Robinho looks like he has made the controversial switch from the Superfly's to the adizero boots. He was spotted at the weekend wearing a pair of blacked-out adizero football boots. Nike won't be pleased to see another one of their key players ditching the Superfly boots. |
Frank Lampard (Chelsea) adidas adiPURE IV |
Chelsea fans breathed a huge sigh of relief over the weekend as Frank Lampard made his long awaited comeback wearing the new white adiPURE IV football boots. Chelsea fans are probably wishing he announced his comeback by scoring the winning penalty that Drogba missed! |
Gareth Barry (Manchester City) adidas adiPURE IV |
Manchester City have been rocked by the recent new that Carlos Tevez wants to leave the club but even so, they are still offering a very serious title challenge. Gareth Barry was another player spotted in the new adiPURE IV football boots at the weekend. |
David Mayler (Sunderland) Puma King Finale |
Sunderlands' David Mayler spotted in the new Puma King Finale football boots as they took on Fulham at the weekend. A game that wasn't exactly full of excitement as both teams were locked to a 0-0 draw. |
Ramires (Chelsea) Nike CTR360 Maestri II |
There were a number of CTR II football boots on show at White Heart Lane yesterday when Chelsea took on Tottenham. Brazilian midfielder Ramires was one of the Chelsea players spotted in the new boots as Chelsea came back from behind to earn a point against Tottenham. |
Andres Iniesta (Barcelona) Nike CTR360 Maestri II |
Andres Iniesta is one of Nike's main representatives for the new CTR360 II football boots and they looked great with the Barcelona kit as they cruised to a 5-0 victory over Real Sociedad at the Camp Nou. |
Esteban Granero (Real Madrid) adidas adiPURE IV |
Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero spotted in the new adiPURE IV football boots as Real Madrid beat Zaragoza CF 3-1 to keep the pressure on Barcelona at the top of La Liga. |
Stuart Holden (Bolton) Nike CTR360 Maestri II |
Like the adiPURE IV boots, the new CTR360 II football boots were on full view across Europe at the weekend. These boots really do look the part on pitch. Bolton's Stuart Holden was one of the Premier League players to make the switch as his 10 man side beat Blackburn 2-1. |
Morten Gamst Pederson (Blackburn) adidas Electricity Predator X |
Two pairs of adidas Electricity Predator X football boots on show here as Blakburns' Morten Gamst Pederson goes up against Bolton's Johan Elmander in their Premier League clash yesterday. |
Graham Dorrans (West Bromich Albion) adidas adiPURE IV |
They weren't on show as much as the black adiPURE IV football boots but the white/blue colourway boots were out there to be spotted as well. West Brom's Graham Dorrans was another Premier League player to be seen sporting the new boots at the weekend. |
Wilson Palacios (Tottenham Hotspur) Umbro Stealth Pro II |
With the boot-spotting headlines mainly being dominated by the new CTR and adiPURE boots, we thought we'd give a shout out to another new boot. Tottenham Hotspur's Wilson Palacios was spotted in the new Umbro Stealth Pro II football boots as he battled against Chelsea at the weekend. |
Ezequiel Alejo Caboni (Catania) adidas Predator Absolute |
Catania midfielder Ezequiel Alejo Carboni seen rolling back the years with a pair of adidas Predator Absolute football boots as his side lost 3-0 to Cagliari in Serie A at the weekend. |
