More than 20 years have passed since Real Madrid and Barcelona confronted each other in the final of the Copa del Rey. Tomorrow on April 20th, Valencia will witness a truly historic occasion where not just a party and final will be held...but an event that will go down in the
history of Spanish football.
To celebrate the occasion, adidas have released an amusing video featuring Barcelona and Madrid adidas players! Messi, Xavi, Villa, Alves, Alonso, di Maria and Arbeloa all make an appearance as they get ready to face each other at the Mestalla Stadium.
Dani Alves' appearance means the adiZero player has officially become part of the adidas brand after his long partnership with Nike and the Mercurial Superfly's! After multiple boot variations, the Brazilian full back now joins team mates Lionel Messi, Xavi and David Villa on the adidas books!
You can expect the atmosphere to be far more tense when the two sides square off tomorrow! Real Madrid will be looking to end their three-year silverware drought and 17 year wait for another Copa del Rey title. For now though, take a look and enjoy the video!
