Messi Debuts Blue/Energy adizero
After Lionel Messi tweeted it wouldn't have been appropriate to wear his White/Gold adizero's against Real Madrid, Messi starred in lastnight's Copa del Rey wearing his new Blue/Energy F50 adizero's, a perfect compliment to the Blaugrana...
Unsurprisingly it was Messi who had the final say in this fierce tie, providing the clinical pass for Abidal to score the winning goal in a 2-1 victory. The recently crowned World Footballer of the Year was in scintillating form, and despite Real Madrid's best efforts to keep him subdued, it was in the second half Leo Messi was at his best with continual mazy runs and sharp passing.
The new Blue/Energy adidas F50 adizero miCoach football boots are a great match for the Blaugrana colours, and adidas really couldn't have designed a better coloured boot for the Barcelona star. Messi, who opts to wear the leather versions, has become the embodiment of the adidas range since first wearing the F50 football boots back in 2006.
During the Copa del Rey match Leo Messi had a relatively quiet first half, as Real Madrid continously closed down their opponents, but in the second half it was all Barcelona as Messi provided a constant threat at penetrating the Madrid back line. Indeed, it got to the stage where the only way Real Madrid could stop the best player in the world was to foul and stamp on him!
The Blue/Energy adidas F50 adizero football boots are the latest addition to the speed range. Messi is currently exclusively wearing the new boots, but we could see team-mate Dani Alves also in a pair, and not to mention global F50 stars Arjen Robben, Gareth Bale and David Silva. We've got full and exclusive gallery images of both the synthetic Blue/Energy adidas F50 adizero football boots and the leather Blue/Energy adidas F50 adizero football boots.
