SoccerBible was in attendance as adidas extravagantly unveiled the London 2012 Team GB kits. Not holding back on grandeur, the launch event was held at the Tower Of London and featured some of the world's leading athletes for the spectacular show...

Our photographers were there to snap the best of the action as Stella McCartney, adidas Creative Director, unveiled the most technologically advanced and stylish range of products ever supplied to a national team. With performance, presentation, training and village wear, adidas will ensure that the British Team are best equipped for London 2012.

With national pride and international presence in mind, Stella McCartney focused on the British flag, breaking down the Union flag's iconic design and reconstructing it using her own modern, contemporary twist. The result is a bold design that features on all items of the kit to ensure the British athletes stand out in front of the home crowd.

adidas is committed to bringing the very latest technical innovations to every Olympics and Paralympic discipline and has developed the most inspirational products. They are continually improving on key technologies to develop a range of competition products that combined with Stella McCartney's design, makes the British athletes the best equipped team ever.

Having supplied kit to participating Olympic teams since 1928, adidas continues to innovate, and it's the cutting edge technology incorporated into this latest kit that will aim to help British athletes set records and personal bests. The tech has been broken down into three areas of; Faster, Stronger and Cooler, and delivered through lightweight materials, TechFit and ClimaCool technology, all of which feature on current football kits.

The British athletes for London 2012 will receive the most comprehensive range of kit that's ever been supplied to a national team. The ultimate kit bag will include performance wear, presentation suit, training wear, village wear, accessories and footwear.

Statistically the design team has been working overtime, as adidas will be kitting out 900 British Olympic and Paralympic athletes across 46 sports. Approximately 590 individual articles of clothing have been created all with specific function in mind. This accounts for over 175,000 items in total.

Of course, our attention was very much on the football kit which was revealed by Sunderland's Fraizer Campbell, with whom we have an interview coming up. But let us know what you think og the adidas Team GB Kit, share your thoughts and opinions online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
