Robin Van Persie (Arsenal) adidas Predator Lethal Zones

One of adidas' lead Predator wearers, and the current top goalscorer in the Premier League, Robin Van Persie took to the field wearing his Predator Lethal Zones but featuring a unique sole-plate. Van Persie was sporting what looked to be an adiPower Absolion outsole, which isn't too much of a surprise when you consider Robin is a particular fan of bladed studs.

Stewart Downing (Liverpool) adidas F50 adizero miCoach

With all the excitement of seeing the two new adidas Predator Lethal Zones' on pitch, it caught some of us by surprise to see Downing in the new Red/White/Blue F50 adizero's for the FA Cup final. The new colourway is set to be lead F50 for the European Championships, so look out for the likes of Robben, Young, Silva and Podolski sporting the bright colours.

Keisuke Honda (CSKA Moscow) Mizuno Wave Ignitus II

Resembling the launch edition Morelia Neo, the new Mizuno Wave Ignitus II has hints of orange splashed on the boots and the bio-panels. Looking at the heel counter, we can see that Honda is once again wearing his custom outsole, which the dead-ball specialist has designed himself.

Dirk Kuyt (Liverpool) adidas Predator Lethal Zones

Supporting the Blue/White/Infrared launch colours for the adidas Predator Lethal Zones, are these Red/White/Black versiosn worn by Dirk Kuyt for his appearance in the FA Cup final. Adidas might have expected Gerrard to sport the more toned down new Predator, but instead it was left to the Dutchman to give us a look at the alternative Pred colours.

Michael Ballack (Bayer Leverkusen) adidas Predator Lethal Zones

It's quite fitting that on the weekend a new Predator made it's on pitch debut, one of the games great adidas Predator wearers potentially bowed out of the game. One of the games best central midfielders, Michael Ballack pulled on the new Predator LZ's for perhaps the first and last time as he played his last game for Bayer Leverkusen.

May Mahlangu (Helsingborgs) Puma v1.10 SL

Forget Djibril Cisse and forget Assou-Ekotto, because the latest player to mix up his boots is Helsingborgs May Mahlangu who was sporting two different colours for the v1.10 SL this weekend. It's not the first time we've seen the South African footballer mix up his footwear, as also saw Mahlangu do the same in July last year. But he certainly got himself noticed this time round, as we received numerous messages in our inbox.

Daniele De Rossi (Roma) adidas Predator Lethal Zones

Another Predator Lethal Zones wearer, Daniele De Rossi is the kind of football hard-man you wouldn't necessarily associate with a lightweight boot. But he's a fully signed up fan of the Predator range, and has no issues making the switch on the boots debut weekend.

Marcus Haber (St Johnstone) Nike Mercurial Vapor III

We love an old Nike Vapor spot, as it always amazes us the amount of old Vapors still taking to pitches around the globe. But then perhaps that is because we'd prefer to put these boots into our Boot Vault rather than wear them! A good looking colour coordination with Haber's St Johnstone kit, the Vapor III's still have what it takes to perform in the modern game.

Thomas Mueller (Bayern Munich) adidas Predator Lethal Zones

Mueller has joined the likes of Samir Nasri and Tom Cleverley by changing adidas footwear and opting for the Predator LZ football boots. It proved to be a winning combination, as Mueller scored two goals on the boots debut in a 4-1 Bayern Munich victory over Cologne.

Vadis Odjida-Ofoe (Club Brugge) adidas F50 adizero

The little scratches on the upper of Odjida-Ofoe's blacked-out adizero boots give-away that they are a custom job. But we have to say they are one of the best efforts we've seen, as the tongue, laces and outsole are all blacked-out like a prototype boot.

Mauricio Pinilla (Cagliari) Umbro GT Pro I

We haven't really seen a huge player uptake for the Umbro GT range, but we do of course have to take player endorsement into consideration. It was interesting then to see Cagliari's Pinilla wearing a first generation GT Pro. The Chilean striker has been comfortable in his GT II's for a couple of months, so it was a random switch to see him in the first generation.

Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal) adidas Predator Lethal Zones

Ramsey followed team-mate Van Persie in wearing the new Predator Lethal Zones, but unlike his Arsenal colleague Ramsey was happy to wear he Spintframe outsole. For Ramsey it was a first venture back into the Predator, after wearing adiPure's for the last few months.

Andre Schuerrle (Bayer Leverkusen) adidas F50 adizero miCoach

Another player sporting the Euro 2012 colourway for the F50 range was Leverkusen's Andreas Scheurrle. True in keeping with the speed silo, Schuerrle is an attacking forward who is likely to be heading to the European Championships with the German national team. Once again though, Schuerrle has given us a clear indication of how brightly the boots stand-out on pitch.

Cheik Tiote (Newcastle United) Nike Tiempo Elite IV

So Odjida-Ofoe isn't the only player to feature in this edition of boot spotting, to have mixed up his footwear. Although for Tiote, it's a much more subtle look as he sported white Tiempo Elite football boots this weekend against Manchester City, but one with red and the other with a green Swoosh.
