UCL Final Event in London
The venue for the Champions League final comes to London this weekend, as Chelsea fans are invited to experience the Allianz Arena. The unique look and atmosphere of Munich s stadium is being recreated in London this weekend to celebrate the Final between Chelsea FC and FC Bayern Munich on May 19.
Fans will be able to experience the magnificent stadium via a piece of unique 3D art which has been installed at Westfield London, Shepherds Bush before moving to Munich for the big match later that week. The artwork recreates the iconic stadium with its distinctive lit panels that illuminate the exterior. With the trickery of 3D artwork fans will be have their photograph taken inside the artwork and given it for upload to Facebook, creating a fantastic supporters image courtesy of Allianz.
The event will be running from Saturday May 12 - Monday May 14, and on Monday Dietmar Hamann will be unveiling a huge 3D Artwork of the Allianz Arena for Chelsea fans in London s Westfield, White City. Obviously Hamann wasn t a Chelsea player but he played for Bayern Munich, and also played for Liverpool in the famous 2005 Champions League final so knows about the pressure of a Champions League final and also playing at the Allianz Arena.
The occasion starts a week of activity counting down to the Champions League final, as this week the iconic Arena in Munich will make history and be illuminated accordingly. The stadium - world famous for its unique red, blue or white solid exterior lighting during matches to represent the team playing - will light up for the very first time in white with a green and blue chequered belly band around the middle, to celebrate the Final taking place Saturday May 19.
