Neymar 200 Games in Nike Vapor

Making his professional debut in 2009, a 17 year old Neymar da Silva Santos Junior took to the field wearing a pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor football boots, and it's a combination that's proved a success ever since.

Although we don't have the photographic evidence here, before his debut Neymar was wearing Nike Vapor III, and we can only speculate whether Nike had already been in contact! But it seems the Brazilian superstar has been well supplied ever since 2009, because for every new Vapor cleat and colour launch since, Neymar has sported the latest version.

Exciting, skilful, fast and prolific in front of goal, are all characteristics to describe Neymar's playing style. A very similar wish-list to the one Nike use to describe their Mercurial Vapor range, a range that began with a Brazilian striker who took the game by storm. Neymar and the Vapor are a footballing match made in heaven, and Nike are well aware they have a superstar in the making!

The boots Neymar has worn over the past four years are the envy of any Mercurial fan. Pick a favourite in recent times, and you can be sure Neymar has both worn and scored in them. Contractual obligations aside, Neymar has been a consistent wearer of the Vapor, not tempted by the adizero and always making the switch when a new version has been launched. Indeed, as the face of the Nike GS (okay we know it's not an official Mercurial boot) Neymar has sported at least seven different incarnations of Nike speed boots.

Taking a look at the pictures we have here, Neymar is seemingly nonplus when it comes to colours, in true Vapor style it seems anything goes. He's worn some stand-out boots in the Vapor series which include the Citron Vapor IV, Cherry Vapor VI and the Windchill versions. Along with the Orange Peel Vapor VII , Clash Collection Vapor VIII and now the All Conditions Control.

Having worn over 25 different versions of a boot range in four years, we'd love to think Neymar has kept every pair to form a collection that would be the envy of every boot fan! Of course the chances of this are very slim, but what is for certain is when Neymar looks back on the photos of his career, he will probably have worn the most colourful mix of football boots out of any footballer.
