Gareth Bale (Tottenham) adidas f50 adizero |
Gareth Bale began Tottenham's London derby match with Fulham wearing his yellow/black/green f50 adizero boots, before switching to the Blue/White/Pink colourway. A strange move, but one that will have pleased the folks at adidas who have been trying to get their star-man in the updated boots for a number of weeks. The challenge for Bale now is finding the same scintillating form he enjoyed wearing his old f50s! Bale was also spotted wearing TruSox. |

Cole Skuse (Bristol City) Pantofola d'Oro 1920 Vitello |
A gem of a boot spot. Long term Pantofola d'Oro fan Cole Skuse gave us another look at his Black/Gold 1920 Vitello boots this past weekend when his Bristol City side took on Wolves. We have a sharp eye for spotting Pantofola's. The Italian might have branched out into more adventurous designs, but this is what we love them for. Black boots at their very best! |
Ben Davies (Derby) Nike Mercurial Vapor IX |
Until this past weekend, Derby midfielder Ben Davies had been wearing a spectacular looking pair of Nike iD Vapor IX boots. For his sides match-up with East Midlands rivals Leicester City though, the Englishman switched to the Platinum MV9 boots and helped his side to a long awaited victory. |
Roberto Pereyra (Udinese) Nike iD Mercurial Vapor IX |
Vapor fan Roberto Pereyra has been spending some time on Nike iD. The Udinese winger gave us our first look at his custom Vapor design for his sides Serie A clash with Catania. The young Argentine went for a white/pink colour combo on Nike's speed control textured upper. |
Giovani Dos Santos (Mallorca) Nike CTR360 Maestri III |
Giovani Dos Santos is no stranger to a black-out football boot and for his sides weekend trip to the Bernabeau, the Mexican international packed his black-out Nike CTR360 Maestri III boots. Without a touch of colour on them, we suspect Dos Santos either has good contacts at Nike or has created a black-out pair of CTR360 Trequartista boots on Nike iD. Either way, they look the business! |
Tomi Juric (Adelaide United) Nike Mercurial Vapor IX |
Adelaide United's A-League fixture with the Newcastle Jets gave us another opportunity to look at Tomi Juric's partially blacked-out Nike Vapor IX boots. That extra coating of shoe polish isn't entirely doing the trick though! The Vapor man - who only recently switch from the Vapor VIII Clash - obviously isn't a fan of the Fireberry colourway. So it's surprising he doesn't switch to the Platinum editions. |
Clayton Donaldson (Brentford) Nike Mercurial Vapor II |
Brentford striker Clayton Donaldson dug out his Vapor II boots for his sides League One match against Preston North End. They're not his usual boot choice - he was seen wearing the Vapor VIII during his sides FA Cup match with Chelsea last month. He must have had his reasons for jumping back five Mercurial generations! We'll see what he wears next weekend. |
Robin Van Persie (Manchester United) adidas Predator adiPower |
We had a feeling we hadn't seen the last of Robin Van Persie wearing his trusty adiPower football boots. Despite wearing the f50 adizero last weekend, the Manchester United striker reverted back to the boots he's scored so many goals in. He's hit a slight dry patch for United, so was perhaps hopeful of ending his goal drought in his old boots. |
Mark Bridge (Western Sydney Wanderers) PUMA King Finale |
Western Sydney Wanderers striker Mark Bridge obviously feels no reason to update his PUMA King football boots. The Aussie has been playing in the PUMA King Finale for a long time now, dating way back to 2009. Seeing a King with a tongue might seem a little dated these days but we were big fans of this boot. And if you've seen his sides away colours, you'll know why he's chosen this white/red colourway. |
Nacho Monreal (Arsenal) adidas f50 adizero |
Nacho Monreal's arrival at Arsenal added another adidas man to the Gunners first team. The Spaniard scored his first goal for the London club in Arsenal's 0-2 away win at League Cup winners Swansea. The full-back was in action wearing his leather Blue/White/Pink adizero boots when he opened the scoring late on in the second half. |
