Gerrard Unsure Over New Season Boots?
Liverpool skipper spotted testing Nike CTR360 adiPure 11Pro.
Pre-season always throws up a few surprise boot switches, players see it as an ideal chance to test other silos and sometimes brands, but adidas Predator golden boy Steven Gerrard was the last player we expected to see flirting with the idea of a boot swap.
Gerrard has played almost his entire career wearing the famous Predator dating back to 1999 when a young Stevie G burst onto the Premier League scene wearing the Predator Accelerator and he's gone on to religiously wear 10 generations of the line.
During Liverpool's tour of Australia and Thailand curiosity looks to have got the better of the England captain. Gerrard was first spotted training in a pair of Nike CTR360's before returning to the training pitch a day later in adidas' 11Pro boots, prompting questions over his long relationship with the adidas Predator.
Gerrard is a self confessed fan of black boots so the recent black/white/green Predator LZ colourway looked to be right up his street, but the Liverpool midfielder's eyes have started to wonder and it's strange to see him opt for two bright colourways.

Steven Gerrard is up there with Beckham, Zidane and Xavi when it comes to naming the ultimate adidas Predator players, so it's a big shock to see him switch boots, but at the end of the day - contract or no contract - he's just like all of us. When a new boot comes out you're bound to be interested in how it performs.

There could be nothing in it and to be honest we're still expecting to see Gerrard kick off the season wearing the Pred, but when you've been committed to something for so long, it's only a matter of time until you start feeling the need to have a go on something else. Just ask Ashley Cole or John Terry.
