New Nike video features Boca Juniors players and crazy hair cuts.

Nike have launched a new campaign in Buenos Aires, depicting a ritual in the Argentine Primera DivisiÓn of giving new players crazy hair cuts to mark their first games and making them look a bit silly in the process. In a twist on the famed tradition of Baptism the stylishly shot video reveals current players vows of commitment to Argentina s Boca Juniors football club.

Players from the starting team; Guillermo Burdisso, MatÍas Caruzzo, Gonzalo Escalante, Emanuel InsÚa, Juan Manuel MartÍnez and Leandro Paredes all interpret the tradition of initiating rookies making their Primera DivisiÓn debut by cutting their hair themselves, expressing their pride in wearing the Xeneize jersey and their ongoing allegiance.

The film, which will air for the first time on TV today, prior to Boca's match against Belgrano de CÓrdoba as part of the Torneo Inicial, is moodily shot and manages capture the seriousness of the commitment taking place. But then they go and shave their own heads. The outcome is nothing but funny and they all end up looking like they've lost a fight with Boca's groundsmen.
