We talk to Warrior's Global Product Manager about their new silo.
We spoke to Ashcroft about the many technical design aspects that have gone into their creation. "We wanted a boot that was going to be lightweight but the technology was going to come from the material application. We wanted a boot that was going to be minimalistic but for the technology incorporated into it to tell a story."
Warrior set out to create the new boot on the ethos of less being more. As Rob explained, the Warrior product team took "a minimalistic approach" to design something that looks fast paced and weighs very little. "Something that when you put it on your feet your going to feel fantastic."
Ambition is one thing Warrior are not short of and it's clear to see they know where they want to be and what kind of players they want to attract. "We want Warrior players wearing our product, we don't just want any player. We want to players who speak into that Warrior ethos." As with any new brand, developing a strong player stable is always one of the biggest challenges, but we expect Warrior to bring in some new names.
England's U21 midfielder Tom Ince has become one of the boots statement players. "Tom Ince was crucial in our development of the boot. It's integral that we get good feedback so he went through a full wear-test and he's been wearing the blacked-out editions in matches. His feedback has been absolutely phenomenal."
