Part one of our exclusive three part mini series. We speak to the Arsenal midfielder about his summer switch to adidas. 
"Three Stripes for Mesut Özil" - That was the major headline for adidas this summer as they officially welcomed the German international to the family. Özil has proven to be an ideal addition to the adidas portfolio and has quickly become one of the lead athletes for the Predator LZ model.
We recently sat down with the Arsenal midfielder for an exclusive chat. In part one of our three part mini series we discuss his move to adidas and the Predator LZ - a boot that he's fitted into perfectly. "I chose the Predator immediately. When I was testing the boots I felt that they were perfect for me, I think the Predator is the best boot in the world."
After agreeing a long term partnership with the brand, adidas want Özil to "add his experience and knowledge to the development of adidas football boots." Speaking on becoming part of the adidas fold, Özil explained; "During my talks with adidas I felt at home immediately. We've now come full circle with this partnership, and I am very proud to be part of the adidas family."
Özil began his senior career with Schalke 04 wearing the adidas Predator Absolute before trading in his three stripes for the Swoosh at the 2007 U21 European Championships. Özil went on to elevate his profile as one of the world's finest midfielders while wearing Nike before returning to adidas this summer. Now he's a mainstay in the German national team and the symbol of a new era at Arsenal.
