Global Boot Spotting - 09/12/13
The pick of the week's best football boots from across the globe.

It was another week of new, customised and limited edition boot spots across the globe as the unpredictable nature of the Premier League continued and World Cup nations discovered their opponents. Here's your weekly round up of who's wearing what...

Kevin Nolan (West Ham United) adidas adiPURE 11Pro

One of the surprise boot switches at the weekend came via West Ham's Kevin Nolan. The Hammers' skipper swapped his long term PUMA Kings for a pair of Samba adidas 11Pro boots and if Nolan is a superstitious man then he'll be switching back with his side losing 4-1 to Liverpool. He'll have plenty of time to think about it during his suspension after seeing red at Anfield.

Aziz Behich (Melbourne Heart) Nike Mercurial Vapor XV

After seeing Andros Townsend lace up in the limited edition Nike Mercurial Vapor XV last week another pair caught our eye this weekend. Aziz Behich of Melbourne Heart was sporting one of 1,998 rare pairs worldwide in his team's A-League match with Western Sydney Wanderers .

Patricia Guijarro (Spain Ladies U17) NikeiD CTR360 Maestri III

The EURO Women's U-17 Championship final produced one of the best custom boot spots of the weekend courtesy of Patricia Guijarra's Nike CTR's. A solid two toned white/red paint job made for a smart looking design but it wasn't to be for Spain who lost out to Germany on penalties.

Chem-Eddine Chtibi (Raja Casablanca) PUMA V1.08

Moroccan top flight side Raja Casablanca are currently preparing for the FIFA Club World Cup held in their own country and during training this week we spotted midfielder Chem-Eddine Chtibi wearing an old PUMA V1.08 originally launched in 2008.

Issa Cissokho (Nantes) miadidas Nitrocharge 1.0

Nantes recorded an impressive 1-0 victory away at Marseille in Ligue 1 on Friday night and almost as equally impressive were Issa Cissokho's custom Nitrocharge boots. The right back has customised his adidas boots by stripping back the design and opting for a classic white/black combo.

Vincent Kompany (Manchester City) Warrior Skreamer

Vincent Kompany slipped into the new black/grey/green Warrior Skreamer colourway for Manchester City's 3-2 win at West Brom on Wednesday night. The Man City captain is one the headline players for the brand this season as they continue to mount a serious charge in the Premier League.

Jose Vazquez (Club Leon) Nike Mercurial Vapor IX CR Galaxy

Jose Vazquez was displaying some of the most unique personalisation we've ever seen on a football boot at the weekend. The Club Leon player had completely covered the Nike Swooshes on his CR Galaxy boots with 'El Diez' and the number 10, which is odd... as his squad number is 23. There's bound to be a story in there somewhere.

Sidnei Sciola Moraes (Perth Glory) PUMA evoSPEED 2.2

Perth Glory's Sidnei Sciola Moraes threw a few people with his choice of boots at the weekend. What may look like a customised PUMA evoSPEED colourway is actually the women's specific fluro yellow design of the takedown 2.2 model.

Elroy Pappot (FC Utrecht) Nike GS2

Just when you think you've seen the last of them they re-appear. The Nike GS2 was the brand's lightest ever boot at 160g and was worn by a select squad of younger players including Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling but Utrecht's Elroy Pappot pulled a pair out of his archive as his side beat NEC on Friday night.

Yuki Ogimi (Chelsea Ladies) miadidas Predator LZ

Yuki Ogimi was laced up in an unmissable Pred LZ custom colourway as Chelsea Ladies were beaten in the International Women's Club Championship final in Tokyo. Ogimi has created a distinctively bright pair of LZ's finished off with neon blue 'Lethal Zones'.

Harry Kewell (Melbourne Heart) adidas adiPURE 11Pro

Harry Kewell is still plugging away down under, now 35 years old the ex-Liverpool Champions League winning winger is plying his trade for Melbourne Heart. Kewell wore a range of boots including Nomis, Nike and adidas in his Anfield days but has been wearing the adidas 11Pro series since his move back home.
