Ten Players We'd Like To See In The EPL Next Season

World Cup fever has abated and focus has firmly turned to transfer targets. Some players shone during Brazil 2014 and are now being fought over by Europe’s elite. Here's our list of ten World Cup stars we would love to see strutting their stuff in England next season.

Isco - With the signing of Toni Kroos and the immanent arrival of James Rodriguez - two midfielders who greatly impressed at the 2014 World Cup - there looks to be little room left in the Real Madrid side for Spanish international Isco, who at just 22 years old, would be a stellar signing for any Premier League side. Liverpool are in ‘pole position’ to land the former Malaga man who enjoyed a solid debut season at Madrid, ending it with 11 goals and seven assists.

Paul Pogba
– The French midfielder is one of the best around and we think in a couple of years, there will be no one better in his position. Chelsea are ready to rival Real Madrid for the Juventus player and the thought of Jose Mourinho adding a talent like Pogba to any already strong looking squad is a scary one.

Raphael Varane – Another young star who shone during the World Cup, his time at Real Madrid does not seem as assured as it once did but Chelsea are looking to give him a future to remember. After getting rid of David Luiz and sending Thomas Kalas out on loan, Mourinho is looking for another defender and we think it could be Varane.

Angel Di Maria – His season last time out for Real Madrid was one to remember. His World Cup may not have been all that, but we think a move to the Premier League will really show what he can do. If Real Madrid manage to land James Rodriguez, Di Maria will be surplus to requirements and a move to England may be on the cards.

Arturo Vidal – Alexis Sanchez may have shone for Chile during the World Cup, but Vidal was just as vital and is now potentially considering leaving Juventus. He may claim that his future would be fine at Juventus, but we think one at Old Trafford would be that little bit brighter – even if they are sitting this season out in terms of European action.

Arjen Robben – We have already had the pleasure of the winger during his time at Chelsea and whilst Robben may have a bad side, he has a very good one too, when the ball is at his feet. A move to follow compatriot Louis van Gaal has been suggested and whilst unlikely, we can’t help but dream.

Edinson Cavani – After a lacklustre World Cup and an unhappy season with Paris Saint Germain, Cavani has a fair bit to prove, and has even instructed his agent to look out for a move to the Premier League. Manchester United are the ones tipped to lure the forward to Old Trafford and it would be a major coup for the Van Gaal revolution.

Antoine Griezmann – We love nothing more than a contract rebel and the Frenchman is a top quality one at that. Liverpool have been linked with a £20 million bid for the winger and now Chelsea seem to be entering the frame as well. After his displays for club and country, the next level is the Premier League and clubs are queueing up to give him a chance.

Sami Khedira – Arsenal and Chelsea are considering swooping for the midfielder and seeing Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger go head to head is more than entertaining enough. Khedira is a top class midfielder and one we would love to see strut his stuff

Memo Ochoa – After his heroics during Mexico’s World Cup campaign, who would not want Ochoa and his five (possibly six) fingers on display in the top flight of English football. The internet virals would be enough alone but should his form carry on to next season, it would be a coup for his new club indeed. Oh, and in case you didn’t know, he is free!
