SoccerBible at NYRB vs Chelsea FC

As Chelsea's pre-seaon tour rolled on through North America, we joined up with adidas Football in New York City to see the Blues suit up in their new season strip to take on the New York Red Bulls.

After hitting up New York City with adidas Football and attending an exclusive 2v2 tournament at Harlem FC with Chelsea first-teamers including Diego Costa and Oscar, we made the trip across the river to the Red Bull Arena to see how the Premier League champions would fare against the red half of the city in their pre-season opener and debut performance wearing the new adidas 2015/16 Chelsea home kit.

Of course, what we witnessed was a Red Bulls team full of reserves and youth players put in an unforgettable performance against their illustrious visitors, thanks in part to 16-year-old striker Tyler Adams who contributed to the 4-2 score line with a brilliantly headed goal past second half keeper Asmir Begovic.

Jose Mourinho might have already forgotten this one, but Chelsea's New York Supporters' Club might be scratching their heads for a little longer. Either way, both sets of fans certainly got their money's worth in the heat of the New Jersey evening.
