We joined up with adidas as they opened the doors to their Brixton Base as London threw its own personality over the adidas Football revolution.
After conquering Berlin on Champions League Final weekend adidas brought the noise to South London for a stylish evening of the top names in local freestyle, music and professional footbal. Lit up under the capital's fading skyline adidas invited a number of teams to compete in a frantic tournament of 2vs2 football, each team given the chance to showcase the best in their lockers in a bid to 'Be The Difference'.
The Base upped the pace with the arrival of Arsenal duo Kieran Gibbs and Theo Walcott who took their places in the juding booth to run the rule over London's finest tekkerz tennants. Speed not shortcoming and step overs the move of an average joe, quick minds met quick feet as the tournament turned up the heat.
Bringing the noise, adidas brought in Stormzy to help kick it in style. The setting showing that football is a game best enjoyed in a more thunderously artistic aesthetic, on hand were graffiti artists to help tag the picture. More four beats rather than simple one-twos, this is creative football. Something adidas are certainly alluring.
Running from 7th - 12th August the Brixton Base will play host to a series of adidas events. You can find out all you need to know about the place, here.
