Argentine giants River Plate have extended their current deal with adidas to 2021 raking in $10 million a year.
The South Americans have recorded back to back years of growth and they'll now enhance their revenue status at the top of the Argentinean game by netting $60 million from this new deal that sees the Three Stripes remain on the famous white and red strips.
The original deal with adidas was due to expire in 2018 but on and off pitch success has lead to a further extension of the partnership at a 70% increase. And if that wasn't sweet enough it means that River Plate will be netting $2 million more per year than the deal that fierce rivals Boca Juniors have with Nike.
The deal comes on the back of two years of continued growth under club president Rodolfo D’Onofrio after a financially difficult period when the club were relegated in 2011. Gold in the bank, silver in the trophy cabinet - everyone's happy.
