New Balance headed to the heart of Liverpool to host a night that brought the curtain up on the next chapter of their footballing story.
Exposed brick provided the backdrop as the brand played host to launched their 2.0 instalment of the Furon and Visaro. Kicking things off, Dan Walker tee'd up a glimpse into the back story from Richard Wright, General Manager for New Balance Football.
His words set the tone that placed a large emphasis on dealing with pressure at pace. Whilst emphasising the design and engineering that has gone into both boots as part this update, he also explained how players were key to the evolution. Using two styles of players to define their direction of travel it's very much all out attack.
The night then moved into two sets of Q&As, firstly with the lead designers who worked on both the Visaro and Furon and then secondly with Samir Nasri, Aaron Ramsey and Jesus Navas. Symbolic to the story, this again reinforces the approach; under the hood science merged with on the pitch output. The two go hand in hand for New Balance.
Experiential aesthetic all over and a wall of boots showcased, there has always been intrigue about the route in which New Balance will take on their footballing journey. A brand that's carving off a unique slice of the footwear market, they have produced two boots that when in hand raise positive eyebrows. Popping designs that chart fresh ground, there's strength in depth coming from New Balance HQ.
