Are AC Milan ready to strip the stripes from next season? According to reports in Italy, the red half of Milan have been in talks with PUMA with a view to becoming the club's new kit manufacturer from the beginning of the 2018/19 season.
According to Calciomercato.com, PUMA will take over the reigns at AC Milan with a new contract on July 1, the date that Milan's current contract with adidas expires. The current contract between adidas and the club has already been cut short by four years after former president Silvio Berlusconi sold the club to Chinese investors, and now the door is open for a new deal, with PUMA firmly in the driving seat.

The Three Stripes have been on the famous red and black kit since 1998, when adidas replaced Lotto, but after twenty years both parties seem to be prepared for a change. PUMA are reportedly ready to offer Milan €10-15m per-year, a move that would see them pick up their only Serie A club. PUMA can boast Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal and the Italian National Team amongst their biggest hitters, but capturing AC Milan if they can retain their current club would be a major coup.
