Boy Better Know Takeover at London's O2 this weekend saw the grime collective put on a show of headline material on and off the pitch. Crossing the scenes of football and music the event boasted a Nike 5-a-side football tournament that was sharp and influential from the stage to the cage.
When you've got the likes of Drake, Giggs, hip, J Hus, Tim Westwood, Goldie and Lethal Bizzle all supporting BBK you know the hype of the takeover is real. The two worlds have been sewn closer together within the past couple of seasons and once again football was flourishing in a music circle with bespoke game.
The tournament hosted by Boy Better Know was littered with custom Nike kit creations on a surface fit for fast flowing football and full throttle characters. More confirmation that of the influence football is having in alternative environments such as music and fashion right now.
