Meet Philadelphia Union's Chief Tattoo Officer

Remember when Philadelphia Union were advertising for a full time Chief Tattoo Officer last year? Well they've hired one and he's called Jay Cunliffe of Bonedaddys Tattoo. Don't believe us? Here he is. Tattooing MLS style.

Yep, Philadelphia Union are the first football club to employ a Chief Tattoo Officer, and we've got a lot of time for that. The brains behind this madness is Union VP of Marketing, Doug Vosik, who obviously had to put his money where his mouth was and become the first person to use the services of their new employee by getting the club's Almanac-like snake with Join or Die on his calf. Should secure him a job for life, that.

The first player to get in the queue was centre back Richie Marquez, who got himself a new piece of art to join his already tattooed story. Founding Member of the Supporters Club Corey Furlan also got in on the ink as the club marked the inauguration of the partnership. For the record, the tattoos don't always have to be club related, but club ones will no doubt get you on the wall of fame, and a ticking off from the mrs. Philadelphia Union, MLS mavericks.
