New Balance's first strides of 2017 landed them firmly in the capital as they hit up Oxford Street for the launch of their next-generation Visaro 2.0 silo, backed by a plethora of Premier League pace-setters.
In a spacey basement tucked below one of the busiest streets in the world sat Jesus Navas, Joe Ledley, Yohann Cabaye, Kevin Mirallas and Massimo Luongo – each tooled up with their new footwear to switch into ready for their next game. Assembled to mark the launch of New Balance's first update on the Visaro 2.0 silo and the matching Furon 2.0 colourway it's a credit to how New Balance have progressed to be able to put out a strong squad despite the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Marouane Fellaini occupied elsewhere.
Hitting the stage before hitting the road, each player spoke about their respective seasons, playing styling and their thoughts on the latest New Balance wheels. It's not often a World Cup winner and a PFA League One Team of the Year nominee meet but in Manchester City's Jesus Navas and Queen's Park Rangers' Massimo Luongo New Balance can boast a diverse range of players that have each succeeded in their fields and pushed themselves to reach respective goals. And that's something that the mindset of the brand represents.
Music, fashion and performance were all on the cards as the players stuck around to chat before attentions turned to training ahead of the weekend fixtures. Stay tuned for playlist specials from Jesus Navas, Kevin Mirallas and Yohann Cabaye. Some interesting tastes knocking about with these three.
