Nike bring the house down with 'Strike Night'

Aubameyang, Rashford, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Icardi, Iwobi, Andre Silva, Benteke, Hazard, Courtois, Vertonghen, Kane, Drogba, Wright. Nike's first ever 'Strike Night' took the game to a whole new level last night. On the pitch finishing to off the pitch grime, this was colossal in every single sense.

All those heavy hitters before we even get to the likes of AJ Tracey, Santan Dave and Section Boyz. The first drop of Nike's 'Strike Night' brought football scenes to the fore like no one has ever seen before. Shutting down the rule book in the process, this is something new, something mega. Something we're in to.

While those big time names were in attendance, this was a fixture we can all get in on. A live broadcast show, the premise was simple but the effect, massive. Six elite strikers going head to head to prove they had what it takes to be labelled the champion of 'Strike Night', the task in hand was to pick up the ball as it flew in unannounced and ensure it hits the back of the net. It saw the raft of players lace up in the latest Hypevenom III "Black/Metallic/Silver" as three levels of crowd looked on in a location buried beneath the streets of London Town.

The scale of the event was nothing short of supersonic and as the players rattled through their shots on goal, judges looked on (Ian Wright, Didier Drogba, AJ Tracey and Santan Dave) as well as throwing in quick verbal whips of their own. An event with an underlining competitive edge, it was a fresh way to showcase both player and product. Hitting the net might have been the aim but head over heels showboating was very much the game with everyone from The Ox to Auba wanting to out do one another and be crowned champ.

Going the distance, round by round, it was Andre Silva that took the title. The night didn't stop there though. Santan Dave and AJ Tracey hit the stage followed by Section Boyz in a showdown that was mic'd up and tuned in. Nike crossed cultures in an emphatically strong way with this event. A new benchmark and a wholly bespoke standard. It will take some serious beating.
