Back on home soil in the French Capital, Zinedine Zidane swung into town to launch the new adidas Football Paris Store with some Parisian Precision. On the day that adidas re-released a boot that shares such an iconic status with the legend himself, Zidane opened the doors to be greeted by the Predator Precision boot that he wore back in 2000.
When you're opening a flagship store in Paris to tie in with the launch of the adidas Predator Precision, there was only one man fit to cut the metaphorical ribbon. Zinedine Zidane wore the Predator Precision to make his Real Madrid debut, to win EURO 2000 and to win his second World Player of the Year award. On its return, seventeen years on from the original, Zidane, now manager of Real Madrid talked about his memories of the boot and an era in which he was tearing up world football with a precision of his own.
When Zinedine Zidane is back in Paris word gets around pretty quickly, and by the time the Frenchman made his way to the store an excitable crowd had gathered to get a glimpse of one of their finest footballers of all time. Entering the store and exploring various adidas product significant to his prestigious career Zidane signed his hand prints which will take centre stage in the store as it opens to the public this week.
