Colorado Rapids kicked off their 2018 MLS season in style this week by inviting fans to the Temple Nightclub in downtown Denver for a club-level party away from the pitch.
Ahead of their opening home game of the MLS season this weekend against Sporting Kansas City, the Rapids celebrated the return of football to the State with a serious slice of communal spirit. The Colorado faithful packed into the venue as the players and new jerseys were showcased to the beats of club DJ Jen Jones.
That's how you get your fan-base hyped up for a new season. Major League Soccer is a growing force, and while it still gets unwarranted and uneducated stick from European fans, its clubs certainly know how to include their supporters. It's a new-era football scene embracing the off-pitch culture. Putting the fun back into football, and encapsulating a community.
