EA Sports have revealed plans to launch a special 2018 World Cup edition free update on FIFA 18, featuring a new range of tournament specific settings and format. The update will arrive on May 29, giving you two weeks to lock yourself away ahead of the tournament kick-off.
Cristiano Ronaldo headlines the new trailer as he and other international stars including Marcus Rashford, Isco and Antoine Griezemann prepare for the Russia showpiece by packing their copy of the game. The update will of course feature all 2018 national team kits and respective World Cup football boot packs that'll be worn in Russia.
The key features include the official 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament format, obviously, and a new World Cup version of the Ultimate Team feature, which basically allows you to pick your squad – meaning Andy Carroll is definitely getting chucked on as you desperately restart another tournament until you finally win the damn thing with England. Every host stadium also features, as well as the opportunity to unlock some legendary World Cup players.
