PSG's increased presence in American sports markets was further boosted this week as Nike brought together World Cup winning forward Kylian Mbappe and LA Lakers star LeBron James in Paris. Game recognise game and all that.
LeBron dubbed Mbappe as 'The Chosen One Jnr' as the basketball icon and PSG frontman swapped and signed respective jerseys at Nike's Paris HQ. PSG are focused heavy on becoming the world's most A-list club when it comes to fashion, lifestyle and sports cross-over, and roping in heavyweight profiles such as LeBron ain't a bad way to build upon that mission.
PSG are expected to feature a stronger basketball presence with their rumoured collaboration with the Jordan brand seemingly imminent. The club are expected to wear Jordan branded kits in this year's Champions League campaign. PSG have also been linking up with numerous American celebrities and musicians, inviting the likes of Travis Scott and Justin Timberlake to games, as well as wearing the upcoming collab on stage.
Where there's a Mbappe there's normally a Neymar close by, and the Brazilian was also talking up his meeting with LeBron on Instagram last night.
