Nike have announced that Manchester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez is the latest player to join the new Phantom squad by introducing him as the "Most Feared Phantom of Paris" in a new short film.
The PhantomVSN was launched last month as Nike's youngest silo suited for attacking playmakers, meaning Mahrez fits the bill perfectly. The new film from the Swoosh features a number of Mahrez's closest friends describing his ability and mentality when he was growing up as an aspiring footballer in North Paris.
Mahrez has so far remained in the Hypervenom series to kick off the 2018/19 season, but he's set to switch into the PhantomVSN this week to join Nike's newly assembled Phantom squad, which also includes Kevin De Bruyne and Philippe Coutinho.
