Dutch football jersey customiser Floor Wesseling has created a stunning mash-up shirt for Wesley Sneijder as the midfielder retires from international duty as the Netherlands' most capped player.
The jersey, which Sneijder was presented with after winning his 134th and final Holland cap last week, is made up of some of the most iconic shirts worn by Sneijder in his 15 year Oranje career. All the shirts have then been mashed-up together by Wesseling's 'Blood In Blood Out' design company to show a visual timeline of Sneijder's journey with the national team.
The mash-up jersey features snippet of Dutch footballing history that merge together as a representation of Sneijder's time with the team. From his first Dutch jersey from his debut in 2003 to the shirt he wore for his final game against Peru on Thursday night in Amsterdam. In between that you've got classic designs from EURO 2008 and World Cup 2010 amongst others.
Sneijder was awarded further recognition by Nike Football ahead of his farewell game last week by receiving and wearing a special edition Nike Hypervenom 3 boot in the 2-1 victory. Naturally the design came in a strong orange colourway and featured bold '134' numbering as a tribute to Sneijder's record breaking cap haul for his country.
