PUMA are continuing their recent recruitment drive with the acquisition of World Cup finalist Dejan Lovren. The Croatia defender joins Liverpool teammate Adam Lallana and the recently captured Luis Suarez and Romelu Lukaku at the Big Cat.

Lovren has been seen wearing PUMA boots for a while now and it comes as no real surprise to see the official news of his signing. The biggest surprise in it all in fact is that he appears to have opted to wear the Future 2.1 Netfit over the ONE that he had been sporting on pitch since September.

Having been a part of the Liverpool team that fell agonisingly short in the Champions League final last season, closely followed by being an integral part of the Croatia team whose impressive run saw them reach the World Cup final, it’s fair to say that Lovren is up there as a solid defender, something he was quick to point out himself recently. But self appraisals aside, it’s a decent capture for PUMA.

Don’t expect the recruiting to stop there either; rumour has it that PUMA are on the hunt for N’Golo Kante next. Whether that one gets over the line only time will tell, but PUMA are definitely on the march as they try to enter a Big Cat into a two horse race.
